Re my last post "A Cotton One", I have knitted the 2 x 2 ribs for about 7 inches. But I don't like it very much after watching it for a while. I think I will rip it and find another summer cotton pattern. The colour is really nice, I like it.
I have not posted to the blog for about 3 weeks for my thumb is hurt. When I get up on one day, I feel pain on the joint of my left hand's thumb, I don't know why. I have tried some treatments but no progress. My mother gives me her chinese medicine oil, I don't what it is, it is quite smelly but acceptable (you know, mother always has traditional ancient medicine oil at home). I treat it on my thumb joint days and nights for about 2 weeks, it works. The pain is lessen and about 90% recovered. I hope the thumb will be recovered with one more week. This is why I have no much progress of my knitting. Bye now, I need to make some treatment on my thumb.

A Cotton one

Summer is coming, I always want to knit a cotton sweater. After searching all my stash, I have this very very thin cotton yarn. From the yarn label, it is for crochet lace, 50g/400m of each skein, and suggest to use 1.5mm needle, so you can image how thin it is. Browsing all my pattern books, I still cannot find a sweater suitable for this cotton yarn. After thinking for about 1 week, now I decide to knit a sleeveless cardigan using 2 string knitted together, there is no pattern, I design it by myself just pick this and that from the pattern books.
When combined 2 strings together, I can use 4mm needle to knit and it is more easy for me to handle. For the upper part of the cardigan, I will use this diamond pattern (I don't know why I love all kind of diamond patterns very much). For the lower part, it is 2x2 rib for about 5 to 6 inches long.
I only get 3 skein of this cotton on hand, hope it is enough to complete one.

Blocked - Flower Basket Shawl

Oh, I have finished the blocking of this shawls. It is beautiful and lovely, isn't it. The yarn is 100% acrylic and very fine (as thin as 2 ply). It is very soft (as soft as the baby yarn) and warm, very suitable for the Hong Kong weather and in an air-conditioned room.
I am now thinking what my next project is : a cotton cardigan, another lace shawl (a circle one), a sock....... So many things want to knit. Should take out all my stash and check.

Basket Flower shawl - Progress #4
I am now at the last repeat of the pattern and the edge, the lace shawl will be completed. Blocking is another difficulty for it cost time and space. I should spare a free day to do that. Pictures cannot be provided now and will be shot on the final one. I, myself, also very eager to see the completed lace shawl.

Another Hat in Grey

I have put down the Flower Basket Lace shawl during these days. Knitting this grey hat using the stash to my ma. It is same as the previous rose colour hat to my ma. But when my sister saw that rose colour hat and liked it very much, then my ma gave that to her. Therefore, my ma asks me to knit another one to her.
Ok, from now, I have to pick up my lace shawl and hope that can finish as soon as possible. I don't want to left it behind and knit other stuff.

Flower Basket Shawl-Progress #3
Now, I have complete 28 flowers patterns along the top edged. It is now difficult to take a full picture for I don't want to to spread it out by using a thread thru all stitches. Also, it is difficult to put them back to the knitting needles. It is about 40" at the top length.. That means I have to knit at least 10 more flowers pattern to get about 60" after blocking.
